There are only so many different books on writing a scholar can read before they go crazy. Only pick a few, and stick with those. This book should be a candidate for your arsenal, because it lays out a framework for thinking about scholarly writing that emphasizes the relationship you build with your reader. A worthy framing, especially during a time where AI slop is already flooding academia.
